Terms of use
The rules that govern the use of AccesID, the map and the badges.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Description of the service
AccesID is a web platform that maps businesses and public places assessed for their accessibility to people with disabilities. Assessments are carried out by PromoAccès and a network of AccesID-certified evaluators. Badges are issued by AccesID.
2. Registration and account
You must be 14 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
3. User plans
Using the AccesID map and viewing listings is free. Advanced features may be added in the future through a paid plan (unlimited favourites, alerts, outing planning). Any change will be announced and will remain optional.
4. B2B pricing (businesses)
- Recognized badge (Quick Scan) — Free for businesses in territories covered by a partner business district. $99/year for businesses outside a partner territory.
- Certified OB3 badge (Full Audit) — $249/year, renewable. Includes the W3C cryptographic badge, permanent display on the map and a high-resolution printable DS40 sticker.
- Excellence badge (Full Audit ≥ 90%) — $349/year, mandatory yearly renewal.
All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude taxes (GST and QST added at checkout).
5. B2G pricing (municipalities, boroughs, business districts)
Territorial licences are set case by case according to the size of the territory. As a guide: $5,000 – $15,000/year. Includes Quick Scans, a real-time dashboard, a PDF report for the municipal accessibility plan, and turnkey communication tools.
6. Assessments and badges
Assessments are carried out by PromoAccès or an AccesID-certified evaluator. AccesID is committed to publishing honest assessments but does not guarantee their absolute accuracy over time (businesses change). Users can report any discrepancy they notice.
Certified OB3 and Excellence badges are cryptographically signed Open Badges 3.0 certificates (W3C standard). Any fraudulent use leads to immediate revocation.
7. User content
You keep all rights to the reviews, photos and reports you publish. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the platform. You agree not to publish defamatory, illegal, hateful or misleading content.
8. Limitation of liability
AccesID is provided “as is”. Our liability is limited to the amount of your subscription over the last 12 months.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of Montréal.
