AccesID (“AccesID”, “we”) takes the protection of your personal information seriously. AccesID is governed by Québec's Law 25 and the federal PIPEDA . All data is hosted in Canada.
1. Data we collect
- Email address (required for the account)
- Password (bcrypt-encrypted, never stored in plain text)
- First and last name (optional)
- Accessibility preferences (optional)
- Location (only if you allow the “Near me” feature)
- Photos and reviews you publish
- IP address (anonymized after 30 days)
2. Why we collect this data
- Authentication and account security
- Personalized recommendations
- Showing the places closest to you
- Anonymized usage statistics to improve the service
- Communicating with you (notifications, support)
3. Your rights under Law 25
- Right of access — Get a copy of all your data
- Right to rectification — Correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — Delete your account and all your data
- Right to portability — Export your data in a structured format
- Right to object — Refuse certain processing

4. Hosting and security
100% of AccesID data is hosted in Canada (WHC servers). No transfer abroad without explicit consent. Mandatory HTTPS, bcrypt-encrypted passwords, 2FA available, regular audits.
5. Cookies
Essential cookies (session, authentication) and functional cookies (accessibility widget preferences). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Retention
- Active account: while in use
- Inactive account: automatically deleted after 24 months without sign-in
- Technical logs: 90 days
- Backups: 12 months maximum
