Here is exactly how the proof holds, and what becomes of it if this platform disappears.

Open standard
Each attestation is an Open Badges 3.0 credential (W3C standard), readable by any verifier, not only ours.
Ed25519 signature
A mathematical seal: change one character and the signature breaks. The public key travels inside the proof, so it verifies offline.
Bitcoin timestamp
The date of existence is carved into a public chain. Nobody — not the authority, not us — can move it afterwards.
Decentralized copies
Each proof is copied outside our servers. If the platform stops, attestations remain verifiable.
What we refuse to do
Nothing internal inside the proof
An anchored proof is permanent. So we never put inspection notes or contact details in it: that data stays in the database, erasable.
Hosted in Québec
Data in Canada, Québec-based operator. Compliant with Québec Law 25 and PIPEDA; GDPR on request.
No advertising tracking
No data resale, no profiling of citizen searches.
